Measure Skills -- So How Good Are You?
Now you are ready for real world measurement. See how fast and accurate you are with standard test data. If still not satisfied, head back to modes 4 and/or 5 as appropriate.
The drills and flash key practices use patterned sequences of random numbers to provide your entry data. But, to produce consistent test results comparable between students and over time, standardized tests are needed.
TenKey Tutor comes with a set of standardized skill measurement tests. These are selectable from a drop-down list above the data tape in the Measure Skills learning mode:
Assorted Tests - A mix of floating point, currency, and symbol use.
Currency - Straight currency, including dollar sign and decimal. No symbols included.
Currency w/symbols - Same as Currency, but includes a random mix of math operators.
Floating Point - You must enter the decimal if one is needed, but no math operators are included.
Floating Pt w/symbols - The most difficult. You enter the decimal and the randomly included math operators.
This Learning Mode is designed to measure your overall accuracy and speed. Here you DO stop and fix your entries as you go. The results predict how well you would do in an actual data entry job. And there, your employer will naturally expect your work to be 100% accurate, as well as speedy.
Completing the Measure Skills Learning Mode successfully will complete your TenKey Tutor training. You will then be ready to forget the practicing and go on to real world use of TenKey Tutor's on-screen calculator. See the TenKey Calculator topic for information on its features and use.
