Show Tenkey Only

TenKey Tutor is a dual purpose product.  Its first function is to help you master the numeric and math operation keys on the computer keyboard through use of the first six Learning Modes.  Learning Mode 7 gives you the second function, which is to turn TenKey Tutor into a small desktop calculator, complete with paper tape, for use at home, at school, or in business.

To  turn the Tutor into a calculator, select Learning Mode / Use Calculator from the main menu.  You will see a downward pointing arrow appear on the main menu bar.  Click the down arrow, or select Options / Show Tenkey Only.

You should now see only the calculator portion of TenKey Tutor on your screen.  A sample, sporting the TenKey Tutor Home and Family Edition standard "skin" colors is shown to the right.

If you don't expect to use the paper tape often and would like to save a little screen space, select Options / Display Paper Tape to hide the paper tape portion.  (The paper tape remains on, even though it is hidden.  Display it later when needed.)  TenKey Tutor is now a small calculator you can use from your tenkey pad.  When you close it, it will reopen in this mode, since TenKey Tutor always opens in full keyboard or calculator mode depending on how you last saved it.

When you are done with practice, you can make this calculator start automatically when you boot your computer.  Then it will appear minimized in your System Task Bar (Start tray) so that it will be loaded and ready instantly when you need it.  See the Create Startup Command instructions for setting this up.  (Be sure to turn Password Protection off first unless you want to require a password to use the calculator.)
