The Registration Process
Every copy of TenKey Tutor requires an activation password that you receive through registration. This is quick and easy, and can be done directly on the TenKey Tutor web site. Here is how:
Fill in the Registration Form fields using the Register Online selection on TenKey Tutor's main Help menu.
Then decide how to transmit it to Security Development Corporation and do so.
If not registering online, enter the Activation code in the Activate field and click the Activate! button. Easy as that! (If using the web option, even this is done for you.)

Methods of Activation
Three methods of activation are provided from TenKey Tutor's Registration form. Access this form by selecting 'Yes' at the provided startup prompt, or from the Help / Register Online main menu option.
After filling in the form as appropriate select one of the following three options.
This method of activation is quick and easy, but REQUIRES that the designated PC have the ability to connect with our www.tenkeytutor.com web site.
If this option is chosen, a special Web Activation and Authorization in Process... form will appear with a Begin button and a description of the process. No attempt is actually made by the form to establish an internet connection. Rather, nothing further happens until the Begin button is clicked. This is to provide dial-up uses adequate to establish an internet connection using their usual service. For example, the user could launch AOL from the system tray, go through the login procedure with AOL, and then minimize AOL before returning to the Web Activation form and clicking its Begin button.
Nothing is transmitted to the web site during this process other than the information contained on the Registration form. That information is encrypted in a small file, for the user's privacy on the Internet.
Once received at the web site, the information is verified against a customer database. If approved, an authorization code will be returned from the web site to the Web Activation form. TenKey Tutor will then be immediately activated to full license capabilities.
If unable to validate the registration information against the customer database, a message will appear in the Web Activation form indicating this. Either the registration data will not have matched the database, or the license has already been activated.
If the web site process does not quickly and painlessly activate the license, please use either the E-mail or Print options described below to forward the information on the Registration Form to us for prompt troubleshooting and response.
While not as fast as the Web Site option, this should work smoothly for anyone with access to electronic e-mail. However, it does assume that the Microsoft mapi components are installed on your system. If not, this process may be unavailable; leaving only fax and physical mail options open.
As with the Web Site option above, the registration information required is encrypted into a small file. An appropriate e-mail message is then composed, the file attached, the resulting message placed in the PC's e-mail out-basket. The user then sends the e-mail as appropriate.
The e-mail will be processed manually as soon as possible during regular business hours. Once validated, an authorization code, or a message regarding any difficulties encountered, will be returned to the sender by e-mail. (See Manual Activation below.)
The final way to receive an authorization code is to fill out the Registration Form and then click the Print button. This will send a picture of the registration form to your printer. Then place it in an envelope and fax it to Security Development Corporation at (425) 483-0683, or place it an envelope and mail it to Security Development Corp., TenKey Tutor Activation, 10406 40th Ave SE, Everett, Washington 98208-4604 [USA].
If even a printer is not available, press the Print Screen button, open Wordpad, and paste the screen capture onto a new document. Name and save the document to disk, and print from another computer that has a printer. Then follow the sending instructions in the prior paragraph.
If utilizing the E-mail or Print (then fax or mail) options, you will receive an Activation Code by return e-mail. (Return telephone calls have not been authorized within Security Development Corporation for this activation process, so be sure to include a return e-mail address, be it yours or a friend's.)
Once received, simply enter the Activation Code in the Enter Activation Code here text box in TenKey Tutor's Registration form, and click the Activate! button to complete the registration and activation process.
