Progress Summary
This report gives you a summary of all your practices and drills. This is the same information seen on the bottom portion of the Progress Detail report.
The data is broken down and summarized in two ways - by total Overall Results and by Learning Mode. ( The "Flash Keys" phrase refers to the process used in the "Learning to Touch Key" mode.) Each of these categories contains two lines:
The Total Drills line includes totals for all drills for the numeric columns.
The second line is the Average for each column of all drills in the results. Example: Drills = 3, Strokes = 123, 150, 27. Total Strokes = 300, Average Strokes = 300/3 = 100.
The above results are displayed in the following six columns:
Strokes -- Total number of keystrokes (excluding backspaces and the original strokes the backspaces erased.)
Error Cnt -- This is total count of erroneous strokes. It excludes erroneous strokes that were corrected by backspacing in a Measure Skills session.
Seconds -- Elapsed time in seconds between the time of the first correct stroke and the last stroke. Time stops after the last stroke and excludes the delay until the [Esc] key was pressed.
Net Rate -- This is the number of net correct digits entered, divided by the time from the first until the last stroke in the drill or skill measurement, i.e., keystrokes per minute (kpm).
Error% -- Error count divided by number of keystrokes, excluding backspace corrections in skill measurement session.
Gross Rate -- Total strokes (less backspace corrections) divided by total time of stroking. This rate will be higher than the Net Rate unless NO errors were made.
Much more detailed information about how the results are calculated is available on the report itself by clicking the Context Help button in the upper right corner of the report, then clicking on the area in question.
