Printing Charts
The Print command on the Chart form's File menu will open the Print dialog box before printing. This gives you a chance to setup or change printers before the relatively slow chart print generation process begins. Click OK there, once the printer of choice is selected, or use Cancel to return to the chart.
Holding down the [Ctrl] key and pressing the letter [P] from anywhere on the chart form has the same effect as selecting the Print item on the File menu.
This option on the File menu opens the Print Preview form. This presents an image that shows how the chart will appear on the printed page. The image on this form interacts with the Chart form itself. If you reshape the chart by dragging the chart's edges with the mouse, the image on the Print Preview form will change accordingly. Handy for sizing the output before you print the chart!
The Print Preview form has the following options directly available:
Use this to verify or select the printer you wish to use. This selection, like Print Setup elsewhere in TenKey Tutor, resets the Windows default printer for all subsequent printing until reset later.
This button alternately shows the chart as it would be sized to fill the page, or returns to the chart's original size. As you drag the edges of the chart form, you will be able to see its fit on the page within the Print Preview form.
NOTE: While you can resize the chart, you can not control where it starts on the page. It will always appear at the top of the page.
This closes the Print Preview without printing. The chart is left sized to page or as originally sized before Print Preview was loaded.
