Custom Colors

The background colors of the TenKey Tutor main window and the login screen can be changed to suit your own taste and personality by using the Custom Colors option.  After selecting Custom Colors from the Options menu, a  tabbed color selection panel opens up with two tabs, one for the main window and one for the login screen.  Each window is divided into areas that can be colored individually.

TenKey Tutor will install with preset color schemes for each of the three versions: Professional, Home and Family, and Learning Center.  These are available to you in the drop-down list in the upper right corner of the color selection panel.  You can also set your own custom color scheme by  clicking on any area in the picture of TenKey Tutor where you would like to see background colors, and select the color of your choice from the color pallet that opens up.  Clicking OK allows you to preview it on your TenKey Tutor.  Click the area, then the color pallet, over and over until you find the color combinations you like best.  Then, click OK again at the bottom to activate your final choice, or click Cancel to return to the original background colors.  When you click OK to activate, the colors you have chosen become the Custom scheme.

True Color Palette Checkbox

TenKey Tutor ships with six pre-selected custom color schemes.  The default colors for all three editions are included with your product.  Each of these standard color schemes are supplied in two renditions, one for PCs using high-color monitor displays and one for the older PCs that cannot display more than 256 colors.  If your menu bars look checkered and difficult to read, try re-selecting one of the color schemes from the drop-down panel after clearing this checkbox.
